Yesterday morning I was pleasantly greeted by the postman with a parcel from one of my dearest friends, from the lovely city of Paris. Though we often speak through phone and e-mail, every so often we enjoy sending each other letters, postcards, and gifts. I love the traditional approach of keeping in touch! It's rather exciting when one receives a letter or note written in a familiar writing. There's something ever so special about hand written messages which I think e-mails and text messages just don't possess. And I love treasuring items such as letters and cards to look back on in future years.
Beautiful photos ! And nothing beats that feeling of receiving mail from someone you love. It doesn't happen as often these days sadly !

I agree with you that keeping in touch with letters and care packages is so much more personal! Looks like you received some beautiful presents :)

I love snail mail. I use to have a Japanese pen pal and she always wrote the most wonderful letters. These days we communicate via email, but I miss the snail mail days. Nothing can't compare to receiving a letter ♥
ReplyDeleteI am so so happy I stumbled upon your blog! You got yourself a new reader, dear!
ReplyDeleteOld-fashioned letters are just so amazing, it's so cool you got some Parisian treasures as well! Lovely pictures.
